Main Text: 1Pet. 4:4.
Under my teaching, main topic of SANCTIFICATION, I extracted this subtopic, UNSPIRITUAL IDENTIFICATION. In life, you cannot please everybody but the kind of people you please and are pleased with you is very important to determine whether you are really of the body of Christ or not. When Christ came, He related with everybody but He did not yoke with everybody; He chose the people He yoked with and they were equally yoked in all ramifications.
Many Christians still want to belong to Christianity but they allow unequal yoke to hook them up. Unequal yoke is not easy yoke - it is never convenient for any Christian to bear. The ignorance of this truth has caused serious downfall in some Christians' marital and spiritual life.
How can you live above this error? Number one is possessing an uninfluenciable mind and heart of God. A Christian should possess the power to influence, not to be influenced. As a Christian, God expects you to be a spiritual teacher; not just a teacher but one that knows more and more by the Spirit of God. Our sanctification has a lot to do with our separation to God. We are on a mission and every other things in our lives are secondarily important.
Spiritual life of Christian is a very strange nature to the people of the world (1Pet. 4:4). They don't see its possibility that a man will live in the manner of the Spirit of Christ that dwells in us (Luke 9:55). When the people speak evil of some Christians, such Christians conflict with them or draw back in their walking with God or adjust their ways to please the world. Any pleasure which the world derives from you has caused what I call a spiritual discrepancy, a breech with God or spiritual enmity. If care is not taken, such draw back can lead someone into eternal damnation (Heb. 10:38-39).
In Luke 15;13, we can see that every child of God must be very careful of unspiritual identification and shun it off completely because it will definitely bring him or her into spiritual loss, wastage and damages. Let all come out of all unspiritual identifications and never take our inheritance away from the sight of our heavenly Father who shall bless you indeed in Jesus mighty name (Amen).
